About OxfordLocal

OxfordLocal is a guide to Oxford. We cover several hundred places across colleges, pubs, restaurants, cafes, museums, shops, churches, and venues, with self-guided walks, themed guides, and area pages. The site is available in five languages.

Everything here is checked against a named source. Where we call something the oldest or the finest, we attribute it — to CAMRA, Michelin, the Good Schools Guide, or a comparable authority. Local legends are flagged as legends, not stated as fact. The register is British English and plain — no marketing copy. We carry no advertising and take no payment for inclusion.
